Kirkle does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or payment information.
Game data stored on your device
Kirkle uses your browser's local storage to save the current ladder, wins, streaks, and a random identifier used for anonymous results. This data stays in your browser. You can remove it by clearing site data for Kirkle.
Anonymous game results
When you reach KIRK, Kirkle can store the puzzle, the number of steps, how many steps you took above par, the completion time, and a one-way hash of a random browser identifier. That comparison does not include your ladder, name, or email address. If the results database is not configured, the game still saves your stats on this device.
Analytics and hosting
We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic. Vercel also hosts Kirkle and may process request information such as IP addresses, browser details, and server logs. Vercel handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
Kirkle uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, personalize, and measure ads. You can manage personalized advertising through your Google ad settings and any consent controls shown on Kirkle.
Clipboard access
Kirkle writes the share result to your clipboard only when you press the copy button. It does not read your clipboard.

We may update this policy when the game changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
